What personal data do we collect and why do we collect it

Orders

For the purpose of order fulfillment, accounting and tax and legal matters, we collect personal data provided in the order form: first name, last name, full address, e-mail, optionally company name and tax identification number. This data is collected and processed for the purpose of order fulfillment and tax requirements, e.g. we save the IP address in order to correctly calculate VAT for the customer’s country.

Comments

In the event that you decide to add a comment and provide the following data: nickname, first name, last name, e-mail address and IP address, this data is collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the comment service on the website – originally provided using the Disqus service, but also secured on our server. The IP address is processed for security purposes and to eliminate possible abuses in the comment system.

Contact forms

If you decide to contact us via the contact form, support form or directly to our e-mail address, we will collect the data provided and process it in order to contact you and provide technical support. This data will be saved on our server and sent to the Help Scout system, which we use to provide technical support and contact our users.

You can subscribe to our newsletter using the form on our website, by providing your email address. The email address provided will be used solely for the purpose of sending the newsletter via the FreshMail system. Your email address will be sent and processed by FreshMail. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the link available in each newsletter.

Articles on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in a similar way as if the user had visited a specific website directly.

Who we share data with

In order to offer the service and run the company, we share personal data in order to provide services necessary for running the company. From the administrative side, these are e.g. our employees and employees of companies from the iLabs group, accounting office. From the technological side, these are e.g. Google, Meta, Twitter, Disqus, SiteGround, The Camels, Help Scout, FreshMail, Nestry. Each of these entities receives only as much personal data as it needs to provide the service. We cooperate with entities that apply current, GDPR-adapted principles of personal data processing, meeting the criterion of the so-called. Trusted Partners. Some personal data may be transferred to the European Economic Area, which is dictated by the location of these companies’ data processing centers, but always in accordance with the EU rules for transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States based on the so-called Privacy Shield standard.

How long do we store your data

We will process your data only for the period in which we have a legal basis for doing so, i.e. until:

we cease to be subject to a legal obligation to process your data (especially related to accounting),

your objection to the processing of your personal data is accepted if the basis for the processing of your data was the legitimate interest of the administrator, you withdraw your consent to the processing of data if it was its basis.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have a user account, have placed orders, have subscribed to a newsletter or have added comments on this site, you may request that we provide you with an exported file of all of your personal data in our possession, including all of the data you have provided. You may also request that we delete all of your personal data in our possession. This does not apply to any data that we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons.
